About Us

Creative Common Sense was founded in 2004 by Louise McElvogue, a specialist in strategy, content and customer experience. We draw on a network of experts in customer experience, management and technology. We also work through our sister company Macleod Media on strategy projects, channel launches and advising international media companies on a retainer basis.

Louise has worked with a range of companies including McDonald's, hp, BBC Worldwide, Channel 4 and ITV developing compelling websites and products and improving customer engagement.

Louise's work on Channel 4's 4oD won the Grand Prix at the BIMA awards, Best launch from Promax and was nominated for a Broadcast Award for best new product.

Louise previously worked in the senior management team of netdecisions and Agilisys where she established an award-winning Customer Experience practice, ran a range of internal departments and led cross-functional project teams on over 20 digital and strategy projects. Awards included the New Media Age E-commerce Strategy of the Year, Revolution award for the Most Innovative Online Business, Best Integration of Media and Best Business Design.

Louise's background is as an award-winning journalist in the US, UK and Australian media.

Louise has been published in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Financial Times Media, The Times, The Guardian, and The Independent. Her work has been broadcast on the BBC, CNN Business News, and The Discovery Channel.

Louise was awarded the TV-am Specialist Journalist of the Year in 1993.

She was appointed a member of the Nominet Specialist Domain Name Panel and was named a Patron of the NSPCC in acknowledgement of the pro bono work she led for her previous employer netdecisions.
